
Beginning Force Classes

Ballet Conditioning & Acro
Description: This class is designed as an introduction for our young dancers aged 3 to 6 years old, to the strengthening, lengthening, and flexibility exercises used in our ballet conditioning classes, along with basic acrobatic techniques and the exploration of simple skills. Our focus will be on age-appropriate activities that also help dancers improve their balance, endurance, coordination, and concentration. This class is a 60-minute session held once a week throughout the year. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.
Attire & Hair: Students must wear tight fitting dance or athletic attire; loose or baggy clothing can impede movement and hinder the instructor’s ability to spot dancers during exercises and tricks. Long hair must be pulled back into a ponytail or bun.

Creative Dance I
Description: This class is designed for young dancers aged 3 to 4 years old. This introductory class focuses on the fundamentals of ballet, recognizing its importance as the foundation for all dance styles. Through engaging songs, dances, activities, and games, students will explore the core elements of dance and develop their musicality. Additionally, this class will introduce basic tumbling and acro techniques. This class is a 60-minute session held once a week throughout the year. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.
Attire & Hair: Female dancers must wear a solid-colored leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. A ballet skirt is allowed, provided it does not create a distraction. Male dancers should wear comfortable, non-restrictive athletic attire along with black ballet shoes. Long hair must be secured in a bun or ponytail.

Creative Dance II
Description: Designed for dancers aged 4 to 5, this class builds upon the ballet technique introduced in Creative Dance I while incorporating tap fundamentals. Students will also be introduced to basic tumbling and acro techniques. This class is a 60-minute session held once a week throughout the year. Students in this class will learn two dances that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.

Intro to Acro
Description: This beginner-friendly acro class is perfect for students who want to explore the fundamentals of acrobatics in a fun, supportive environment! We’ll focus on developing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination while learning basic acro skills, including rolls, cartwheels, bridges, and handstands. With expert guidance, students will gain confidence in movement, body awareness, and safe technique. No prior experience needed—just a willingness to try new things and have fun! This class is a 60-minute session held once a week throughout the year. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.
Attire & Hair: Students must wear form-fitting athletic attire to ensure the instructor can spot safely. Long hair should be secured in a ponytail or bun. Proper attire and preparation help create a safe, comfortable experience for all participants.

Strength & Stretch & Jazz
Description: This class helps young dancers develop proper conditioning techniques to enhance strength, stamina, and flexibility. Students will learn a variety of stretching and strengthening exercises that will support their performance across all dance styles, sports, and physical activities. Emphasis is placed on warming up effectively to minimize the risk of injury and prepare for the physical demands of dance. The jazz portion introduces students to the energetic and expressive style of jazz dance. The class structure includes 30 minutes dedicated to strength and stretching, followed by 30 minutes of jazz technique. This class is a 60-minute session held once a week throughout the year. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.
Attire & Hair: Students must wear appropriate dance attire, including leotards, tank tops, bra tops, dance shorts, or leggings. Athletic and tan jazz shoes are required. Long hair should be secured in a ponytail or bun.
Recommended Jazz Shoes:
*Athletic shoes are required for part of this class. A shoe with a supportive sole is recommended, while flat-bottom shoes are not advised.

Wee Dance
Description: This Creative Movement class is designed for dancers aged 18 months to 3 years old. Wee Dance introduces young children to the fundamentals of ballet, along with elements of dance, tumbling/acro, and musicality, encouraging them to move freely with skill and creativity. This high-energy, engaging class keeps our “Wee” dancers excited about learning! Through song, dance, activities, and games, Creative Movement fosters knowledge, creativity, and self-expression. This class is a 60-minute session held once a week throughout the year. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.
Attire & Hair: Students should wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing. Dance attire, such as leotards and ballet skirts, is permitted but not mandatory.

Wee Hip Hop
Description: This class introduces children ages 2 to 4 to Hip Hop technique, rhythm exercises, and body awareness through creative activities, combinations, and games. It emphasizes the inclusive energy of Hip Hop with age-appropriate steps and music. Early exposure to Hip Hop technique helps build a strong foundation for advanced movement and musicality by teaching dancers to transition between tempos, isolate body movements, and recognize basic rhythm patterns. Students will also be introduced to basic tumbling and acro techniques. This lively, high-energy class will keep them engaged and moving! This class is a 60-minute session held once a week throughout the year. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.
Attire & Hair: Students must wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing along with athletic shoes. Long hair should be secured in a ponytail or bun.
