Bria Bishop

Instructor

Bria began dancing at age 5 at DanceMakers Inc. and stepped into the competition world at 7 before joining C & C Dance Company, where she trained in Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Musical Theater, and Hip Hop. One of her favorite routines was a jazz piece to "Whip My Hair", complete with painted, high top, sparkly Converse. For 8 years, she competed with her studio before moving into high school dance, serving as captain her senior year and performing with the Capitol Movement Pre-Professional Company and the JAM Youth Project. After high school Bria went on to study Psychology with a minor in Political Science at James Madison University, where she performed on the Jazz, Hip Hop, and Tap teams with the Madison Dance Club. Before her junior year, she was elected to the executive board as Tap Head, choreographing numerous pieces for performances and competitions. She is now pursuing her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Bowie State University and looks forward to working with kids and helping them explore their creative sides, blending her passion for the arts with her commitment to supporting mental well-being. When she’s not studying or dancing, you can find her playing with her dog Luna, catching up with friends, or breaking a sweat in a cycle class.
