
Transitional Force Classes

Ballet & Lyrical
Description: This class is designed to introduce students to these two beautiful styles and how they are intertwined. Students will learn age-appropriate Ballet technique and terminology and explore how Ballet and Jazz technique are combined to create fluid Lyrical technique. This class is a 60-minute session held once a week throughout the year. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.
Attire & Hair: Female dancers must wear a solid-colored leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. A ballet skirt is allowed, provided it does not create a distraction. Male dancers should wear comfortable, non-restrictive athletic attire along with black ballet shoes. Long hair must be secured in a bun or ponytail.

Ballet, Tap, & Jazz (Ages: 5-6 years old)
Description: This class is designed for dancers 5-6 years old. This class is perfect for students just starting out with dance. Class will focus on ballet, tap and jazz technique. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.

Description: This class is designed to give students ages 7-9 a chance to explore all 3 styles in one class per week. Students will reap the benefits of weekly ballet technique instruction, while also getting to further their coordination and musicality with the upbeat, rhythmic style of tap and explore the flowing, expressive style of Lyrical. More information about each style can be found under the description for that specific style. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.

Hip Hop & Acro
Description: This class is a high energy style of dance that is primarily performed to pop, rap, R&B and hip-hop music. Hip-Hop involves a variety of movements such as popping, locking and breaking. Hip-hop technique, as well as free-styling, will be used in each class. Acro is not the typical tumbling or gymnastics class. Our experienced acro instructor will guide the class towards increased flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique, teaching such skills as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, balance and contortion tricks, at each student's individual level of experience. This class is a 60-minute session held once a week throughout the year. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.
Attire & Hair: Students must wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing along with athletic shoes. Long hair should be secured in a ponytail or bun.
*Athletic shoes are required for part of this class. A shoe with a supportive sole is recommended, while flat-bottom shoes are not advised. The Acro portion of class will be done barefoot.

Hip Hop & Jazz
Description: This class is designed for students who wish to explore both of these exciting styles of dance. Hip-hop is a high energy style of dance that is primarily performed to pop, rap, R&B and hip-hop music. Hip-Hop involves a variety of movements such as popping, locking and breaking. Hip-hop technique, as well as free-styling, will be used in each class. Jazz is an upbeat style incorporating contemporary and traditional jazz dance styles to current popular music. This class is a 60-minute session held once a week throughout the year. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.
Attire & Hair: Students must wear comfortable, non-restrictive athletic attire. Long hair should be secured in a ponytail or bun.

Hip Hop & Tap
Description: This class is designed for young students who wish to explore both of these high energy, rhythmic styles. Hip-hop is an upbeat style of dance that is primarily performed to pop, rap, R&B and hip-hop music. Hip-Hop involves a variety of movements such as popping, locking and breaking. Hip-hop technique, as well as free-styling, will be used in each class. Tap is a form of dance in which a dancer, wearing shoes fitted with heel and toe taps, make sounds and rhythms with their feet. This class is a 60-minute session held once a week throughout the year. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.
Attire & Hair: Students must wear appropriate dance or athletic attire. Long hair should be secured in a ponytail or bun.

Jazz & Tumbling
Description: This class introduces students to the upbeat style of Jazz and offers students an opportunity to improve their flexibility and skills by learning basic tumbling technique. This class is a 60-minute session held once a week throughout the year. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.

Musical Theater, Tap, & Jazz
Description: Step into the spotlight in this exciting, high-energy class that blends the best of musical theatre, tap, and jazz! Dancers will explore foundational jazz techniques, develop rhythm and precision through tap, and bring storytelling to life with musical theatre choreography. This class emphasizes performance quality, musicality, and confidence, helping students build versatility in their dance training. This class is a 60-minute session held once a week throughout the year. Students in this class will learn one dance that will be featured in our annual end-of-year Showcase. This class will also be featured in our Fall Charity Showcase.
Attire & Hair: Students must wear appropriate dance or athletic attire. Long hair should be secured in a ponytail or bun.
